Associates, this website celebrates the life and work of the author and
historian who brought America's forgotten son, Vincent St. John, back from the
dead. For more than thirty-five years MaryJoy Martin, who is also an artist,
photographer, songwriter and naturalist, has fed us a feast of dramatic labor history, stunning natural history, terrifying
ghost tales, enlightening political satire, untamed Pythonesque humor, and
much, much more. Her most recent book is in development as a film, with the
working title, “Undesirable Citizens.” She is currently crafting a
biography of Vincent St. John, while probing the love life of unusual insects
and exploring uses for mycotoxins. And she has a thing for flying
monkeys…
