Fine art isn't limited to galleries and museums, oftentimes appearing by popular demand on clothing. Even the Mona Lisa has appeared on T-shirts. MerryJoy enjoyed the idea of having her work walking around like a mobile gallery, from National Parks to shopping malls across the world. As wearable art designs produced in the 1990s by EarthZone, Inc. and Arctic Heat, Inc., her work was printed on T-shirts, sweat shirts, jackets, and tote bags, and sold in shops and tourist attractions across the West, making their way to far off points around the globe.

Often these works incorporated mysterious creatures and symbols hidden in the leaves, trees, or other parts of the image. Many of these were printed in single colours and derived from the artist's pen-and-ink illustrations, which can be found here.

The art was screen printed and the colour separations were carefully undertaken by the artist. Many of the screen prints were rendered in ink that puffed when dried, giving the image a 3D appearance. Below is a small sampling of wearable art by MerryJoy.
